Last weekend was great, Friday I got to spend the evening with my son. We cleaned house and he helped me fold laundry as well as a four year can help fold laundry. Lol…We thought we were going to be able to sleep in Saturday morning as for once we didn’t have basketball to go to at 8 am, but alas sleeping in was not in the cards for us. I tried on my new outfit I bought a Maurices for Ashley’s 30th birthday party Saturday night and the jeans even though they were “short” were about an inch or so too long even with my five inch heels on. Upon realizing the problem a solution was needed, the tailor opened at 9am and the salon opened at 9:30. Therefore solving two problems in the same morning was perfect. We got an early start to was to be our lazy Saturday, getting the jeans altered and my eye brows waxed and shaped all by 10:30 and spent some time at a local park afterward. Had to reward my extremely well behaved son somehow, and since it was a beautiful March morning why not a romp at the park. I relaxed watching him play and went down the slide with him a few times knowing that my eyes would not be red that night and that I would not trip on my jeans. Later that afternoon, we gathered our stuff and headed off to my parents house where Connor decided to show his Bubbe and Zayde how he could roller skate, he has the cutest Fisher Price skates that are inlines with training wheels…to cute. It was during this demonstration that I realize he is exactly like me and I would not be able to teach my own child how to skate. I told him something, he refused to listen but when Bubbe said the same thing he listened and did what he was told. Yes, I must let go of the vision of teaching my son to roller skate…lol…At about this point is then when storms started to move to our area and we headed inside. I had to get ready to go and be at the Chalet by 8 and mom was cooking dinner. I boogied quickly out of the house as to beat the storm, I didn’t want to ruin my hair before I even stepped inside. Once there I had quiet the surprise, my good friend Terry drove all the way from Texas to surprise the birthday girl and myself. It was a wonderful surprise and I was so glad to see him, actually spent most of my night talking to him. We played some pool, ate some pizza and drank some drinks. All was going great until about midnight when the lights flickered a bit and went out for five minutes to only come on for three seconds and we were in the total dark after that. At which point our waiter took the opportunity to over charge for everything we had partaken in that night. We will NEVER go back there again and we left for another bar called SouthRock, a kicked back pool hall/bar.
A good night was had by all and a line that I will never forget was said to me and might I add it was not a successful pick up line at all…”You have got to be the most attractive older woman I have met.” OMG!!! Since when is almost 29 old?! Wow it did put things in a new light for me and not in a bad way.
Below are Pictures of Me and Terry, then Me and finally Me, Ashley and Terry
